Think NDs. MDs. Acupuncturists or TCM doctors, holistic nutritionists, bodyworkers?

Naturopaths!! I spent an insane amount of time trying everything under the sun and a naturopath helped me make more stable and significant changes to my daily life. She also helped me find a source for comprehensive blood and microbiome testing. Unfortunately full panel tests are expensive but so worth it to pinpoint exactly what is going on in your body. I worked with my naturopath to analyze said tests. A nutritionist could also help to anaylze. For me the solution lay in the merging of modern science (microbiome testing) and using holistic practioners to navigate the results and not be sold a "supplement cure". I know it can be difficult to find labs that do such testing so any USA recs would be lovely :) For the EU market they are only offered in Belgium and Switzerland

YESSS I had the same journey and was also sold a supplement cure by 3 people which for some people might work but just did not for me at all. I think I am a sensitive system so I fixed mine by finding someone that was all about deep lifestyle changes.

Does anyone have a massage therapist/ massage type they recommend? I feel like there are so many routes (sports, Thai, Swedish, lymphatic, etccc) and I struggle to understand (1) the results each intend to drive (2) the practitioners you should turn to for genuine impact, not just spa day vibe

@Charlotte I did tunia (healthline.com/health/tuina (opens in a new tab)) when I was in China and it was crazy. It's almost like an Ancient Chinese version of a fascia somatic release massage. Lots of people cried because pressure in certain areas released stored emotion. For example, "It’s based on the theory that imbalances of qi, which is the body’s vital life force or energy, can cause blockages or imbalances that lead to symptoms such as pain and illness." I feel like thats not what you're looking for but ya. I would maybe look for terms like Medical Massage, Myofascial Release, etc. But I have one in mind in NYC I've seen in Williamsburg I'll see if I can get them added to Woo hehe.

Best advice I received (and so simple)... Sweat !! Everyday if you can. Whether its running, incline walking, pilates, or sauna/steam room, this has helped me so much with PMS, acne, and hormonal symptoms it releases so many toxins

Latest note, from a Woo Girl: undereating!! it literally puts your body into survival mode, which spikes your cortisol (the stress hormone) and completely messes up your reproductive hormones. That hormonal chaos triggers a massive wave of internal inflammation, causing your oil glands to go into overdrive and leave you with the deep, painful cystic breakouts that literally wont heal.
