Why I Made Woo
I made Woo because I wanted better answers about my health. For years, I dealt with a handful of symptoms that always felt like they had to be connected, even when no one could quite tell me how. I found my way into holistic health in high school after shadowing a naturopathic doctor, and it opened up a completely different way of thinking about the body. *Shoutout Dr. Mark Adams. :)
Over the years, I saw naturopaths, acupuncturists, bodyworkers, functional practitioners and more. Some were great. Some weren't. And some just weren't right for me.
The hardest part was finding the right person in the first place. It took me years of Google searches, word-of-mouth recommendations, and a lot of trial and error to find practitioners who actually made me feel understood and helped me learn how my body worked.
So I made Woo: a place to host practitioners, experiences, products and ideas I'd actually recommend to a friend.
I'm not a doctor, and Woo isn't a medical directory. It's just a starting point for women who are curious about their health, want to look a little deeper, or haven't quite found the right person yet.
Welcome to Woo.
