Kitty has been a nurse in Austin since 2007 and trained as a family nurse practitioner at UT Austin, with years in ENT, allergy, dermatology and family medicine behind her. She's also an Ayurvedic counselor. At West Holistic Medicine she runs Tuesday-morning allergy testing, custom allergy drops and 90-minute Ayurvedic consults, alongside her own practice, Enlighten Holistic Health.

Skin-prick testing first, then daily drops mixed to your results, an EpiPen she shows you how to use, check-ins at 6 weeks, 3, 6 and 12 months, and a retest at a year to see whether it's working. Ayurveda visits look at your dosha, food, herbs and routine, and she asks that diagnosed conditions be managed first.
