Dr. Janette Hope
MD, Family & Environmental Medicine
Santa Barbara, CA · In-Person · $$$
Janette spent years as a family doctor in clinics, urgent care and student health before she and her family got seriously sick in a water-damaged house. Twenty-six doctors later, the clue was a small black smudge behind a bookshelf. Now she runs a solo environmental-medicine practice in Santa Barbara, has published on mold illness and taught it to doctors through the AAEM, which she once led.
Get In TouchApproach
Unhurried and investigative. A first visit typically runs about two hours: your history from before birth, the tests you've already had, past and present environmental exposures, what's helped and what's made things worse, plus an exam. Billed by the time actually used, with close follow-up, and clear that she isn't your primary care doctor.
Who They're Great For
The girl who has seen specialist after specialist, has a stack of normal labs and still can't shake the exhaustion, brain fog, gut trouble or dizzy spells, and has started to wonder whether her apartment is part of the story. Bring every result you have; she wants the whole history.
