Merritt has been a licensed esthetician in Texas since 2011 and opened her own Austin practice in 2014. Her facials are built around hands-on work: sculptural and inside-the-mouth (buccal) massage, Vodder lymphatic drainage, gua sha and Dien Chan facial reflexology. She trained in England with Nichola Joss, whose site lists her as an accredited practitioner of the Inner Facial.

Approach

First, a check-in and a genuinely thorough intake form (stress, meds, birth control, diet). Then a long session (most run 90+ minutes) of massage and lymph work with room for silence; LED or microcurrent are optional add-ons. Extractions cost extra rather than being the default. Zero pressure to buy products, and tipping is up to you.

Who They're Great For

The girl who wants a facial that feels closer to bodywork than a peel: long, quiet and mostly massage. Great if you're puffy, tense or running on empty, or if your skin is acting up and you want someone who asks about stress, hormones and digestion before reaching for a serum.
